  13. This installer requires the ORIGINAL disks from Project-X SE 93 (there are 3).
  14. It should NOT work for cracked versions or the first release of Project-X.
  15.  
  16. The HD-Patched game will need about 4Mb of memory.
  17. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).

  23. Sorry there was a bug in the Rob2File program.
  24. Now this is fixed. Please re-install your game to avoid unexplainable bugs.

  29. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  30. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  31. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.
  32. All my installers are now fixed for A3000/A4000 users (thanks Robert :-) )

  34. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  35. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  36. it does not easily multitask. No checks are done to see if you swapped the disks
  37. or not.

  39. FEATURES:

  41. - Full HD Install of the game
  42. - Installer script provided, for more convenience
  43. - Full use of fast memory
  44. - You can access all the 5 levels at once. The choice is not limited to levels 1,2,3.
  45. - Fully 680x0 compatible without modifications (there were crashes with 68060)
  46. - A TRAINER tooltype allows you to get infinite lives.
  47. - Load/Save Hi-Scores now work with hard drive. No need for floppy
  48. - F10 key allows you to quit the game from the main menu.

  50. BUGS:

  52. There are some annoying bugs I did not succeed to remove yet:
  53.  
  54. - You have to load the high scores by the LOAD SCORES option. This is not done at startup.
  55. - Do NOT use a copyback disk cache on your games partition. This could be harmful if you reboot
  56.   the computer before you quit the game, if you use the SAVE SCORES option (disk buffers not
  57.   updated). Anyway, if you are afraid, you can still use floppies to save your games if you
  58.   set the NOOSSWAP tooltype/argument.
  59. - Sometimes the game asks for disk 2 or disk 3, or refuses to work without the NOOSSWAP
  60.   tooltype. In that case, switch off and on your amiga and it will work again
  61.   (a Blizzard 12x0 problem ?)
  62. - The install part has some problems with disk 1 sometimes. You'll get an error message. If so,
  63.   just reboot and try again. I don't know why this happen, but anyway, once installed, you
  64.   won't have to worry anymore.

  66. CHANGES SINCE V2.1:

  68. - The crash at level 1 when you played after level 3,4,5 is removed, there were a cache setting
  69.   problem in my hd-utility object code for the 68060.

  71. - The installer script provided in V2.1b did not work. Now this should be OK. I apologize for
  72.   the inconvenience. Thanks to the user who reported the bug.

  74. - Needs less memory to run. Added NOFAST tooltype to force extension in chipmem.

  76. - Some names changed. I'm preparing Project-X original edition installer.

  88. To skip levels during the game press and hold down the right mouse button
  89. and then hit the [Escape] key, the screen will then turn black.
  90. Now with your finger still on the right mouse button press the [Return]
  91. key and you will be warped to the next level.

  112. This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
  113. if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

  115. However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
  116. of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
  117. It's the only exception for the distribution.
